Sony Engineering and Home HD 3D Projector Application

In recent years, China's economy has developed rapidly. With the large-scale investment in infrastructure such as energy, transportation, and education, large-screen and high-brightness projection display technologies are used in conference halls and monitoring centers in large commercial facilities such as airports, squares, shopping malls, and entertainment , Live performance, entertainment venue monitoring, command, scheduling and public display have been widely used.

For the above requirements, Sony launched the VPL-F400X / F500X engineering projector and the home high-definition 3D projector VPL-VW90ES solution.

Application of engineering projector

Kanghong, the general agent of Sony ’s professional engineering projectors in Shandong, will focus on VPL-F400X / F500X engineering projectors that use inorganic liquid crystal panels combined with inorganic prism optical technology (BrightEra with Long Lasting Optics). In the past year, it has been Qingdao Hong Kong meeting room, Yantai Development Zone Education Bureau meeting room, a tank division unit of Jinan Military Region and other projects provide suitable engineering solutions.

The VPL-F400X / F500X has a horizontal and vertical (H / V) lens shift function (see Figure 1), which avoids the trouble of picture quality degradation and projection distance recalculation caused by keystone correction.

Thanks to the use of new light bulbs and power control technology, the life of the light bulb is greatly extended. The life of VPL-F400X in high mode and standard mode is 4000 and 5000 hours respectively. The life of VPL-F500X in high mode and standard mode is 3000 and 4000 hours respectively.

The lamp and filter of VPL-F400X / F500X adopt a quadruple filter system, which prolongs the cleaning cycle and efficiently filters various dusts.

In order to meet China's energy saving and environmental protection requirements, the VPL-F400X / F500X uses 310W and 370W respectively; in standby (low mode) it is only 0.3W.

In addition, the projector can be operated or monitored through network control and monitoring / email reporting functions.

In the marginal fusion project of a tank division unit in the Jinan Military Region, three VPL-F500X projectors were used. The actual solution is shown in Figures 2 to 4.

Home HD 3D projector application

The “Wealth Management Center” of Bank of China Zibo Branch adopted Sony ’s first home high-definition (1080p) 3D projector VPL-VW90ES in the high-definition home theater in its high-end private club environment (see Figure 5).

VPL-VW90ES has the following five main features:

1. 24p True Cinema technology and 240Hz SXRD panel

Smooth layering and minimal interference of chroma and brightness can ensure high-quality 3D stereoscopic images. The VPL-VW90ES uses the principle of frame sequential display, and each picture viewed by the left and right eyes is displayed in full HD resolution. The left and right lenses of the active shutter 3D glasses will intelligently cross switch in an instant, and have brightness and depth adjustment functions. In addition, the unique algorithm can achieve the effect of 2D to 3D.

2. Advanced Aperture 3

VPL-VW90ES can display the color of the international video standard-xvYCC color gamut, covering about 2 times the color space of RGB. At the same time, using advanced aperture 3 technology, automatically identify and adjust the brightness and contrast of the picture, restore the brightness of the signal source. The technology and SXRD full HD panel can achieve deeper black and detailed image reproduction.

3. Real Color Processing (RCP, Real Color Processing)

RCP allows each target color and hue on the screen to be adjusted individually.

4. Motionflow chip driving technology and high-speed SXRD chip

The above technology can double the number of images output per second, and restore smooth and sharp moving pictures. In addition, Motionfow's black insertion technology can also reduce blur and jitter.

5. ARC-F (All Range Crisp Focus) lens

The ARC-F lens is composed of a total of 15 low-dispersion glass lenses in 6 groups. These glass lenses have anti-reflection coatings, which can achieve theater-like visual effects at home. (Contributed by Sony)
