Porsche Design launches new masterpiece "Chronotimer Collection"

A new generation of watch series help Porsche Design move forward quickly.

Stuttgart, Germany - 40 years ago, Porsche Design introduced the world's first matte black watch Chronograph I, completely changed the pattern of the high-end watch industry. Today Porsche Design is known for its dedication to innovation and launches the new Chronotimer Collection, which sets out the direction of this European luxury and lifestyle brand.

The introduction of "Chronotimer Collection" reflects Porsche Design's innate passion for motorsport and its keen insight into the specific needs of the racer. Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the founder of Porsche Design, was an early adopter of matt black surfaces and titanium. Since then, these qualities have taken an important role in the design of Porsche Design and become an integral part of the new series. The new "Chronotimer Collection" will be launched globally in July this year.

Extraordinary features

"Chronotimer Collection" has a sense of movement, speed, and excellent performance. Its design inspired by the common anti-dazzle instrument in the cockpit, except the white time scale and the pointer, the watch is completely matte black. The double-sided, seven-layer, anti-dazzling sapphire crystal not only minimizes light but also optimizes the watch's performance while ensuring optimal read-timing.

A new generation of watches

The Chronotimer Collection was developed for the first time by Porsche Design Timepieces AG (Solothurn, Switzerland) and Porsche Design Studio (Zell am See, Austria) and is manufactured in Switzerland.

Eternal and modern are the characteristics of a new generation watch. Case diameter of 42 mm, the watch uses ETA Valjoux 7750 movement, power reserve 48 hours, the date display at the dial 3 o'clock position. Through the blackened sapphire crystal back cover, the unique and energy-optimized Porsche Design movement rotor clearly shows "Chronotimer Collection" water-resistant up to 5 bar.
