ICC of input device (eg scanner, digital camera)
The input device is used to make ICC by physical color card comparison. First, scan or shoot a standard color card, such as the scanner scanning the IT8.7 / 2 color card or the camera to shoot ColorChecker 24 color cards, and then make it in the dedicated ICC Software (such as ProfileMaker) compares the difference between the color on the captured color card image and the original optical data of the color card, and analyzes and calculates the ICC file of the current state of the device.

The commonly used color cards of the scanner are: IT8.7 / 2, HCT. Color cards commonly used in digital cameras are: ColorChecker 24, ColorChecker 24SG.
There are two points to pay special attention to these color cards:
1. The color card data file should be particularly accurate
The ICC of the input device is obtained by comparing the color of the image from the color card and the data file of the color card. Whether the original optical data of the color card is completely consistent with the specific color of the color card, and the color card ages and changes color after being used for a period of time will affect the accuracy of the final ICC.
Second, to make ICC of various light source environments
The light source environment of the scanner is relatively stable, you only need to consider the attenuation of the lamp, and do icc once a month. However, the light source environment of digital cameras is more complicated, and different ICC files need to be produced for different light source environments.
The ICC files of general scanners are loaded and used in the scanning software, and the correct image color can be obtained by setting the software. However, the digital camera itself cannot directly load the ICC file on the camera, and can only use the "specify as configuration file" command through software such as Photoshop to directly assign the image taken by the digital camera to the ICC.
