There is also an increasing number of color box packaging manufacturers that attach importance to ISO international quality standards, and shoppers have higher requirements for packaging. The packaging box should not only be bright in color but also generous in design. It should also be clear, smooth, non-pilling, and non-paper dust.
However, many color box die-cutting manufacturers often have headaches for fluffing and dusting on the box. This paper analyzes the causes of fluffing and dusting on the edges of the paper and analyzes the causes and treatment methods for reference by peers.
First look at the effect of different papers on fuzzing. Generally high-quality raw paper fibers are longer and generally have less fluffing and dusting than recycled paper. However, at this stage, most manufacturers need to reduce packaging costs and promote environmental awareness of recycled paper products. Therefore, more and more people like to use recycled paper. In this way, it is necessary to start from the use of high-quality die-cutting materials to solve the problems of fluffing and dusting on die-cut paper.
So how to use high-quality die-cut material? First of all, you should use high quality die cutters. There are many high-priced die cutters in the market, but not every one can solve the problem. In the blade of the general high-grade die cutter, we can observe many holes and flaws with a magnifying glass, that is, the blade is not very smooth, which is one of the reasons for the generation of paper dust. In particular, the cutting knife with ruled surface treatment is very sharp on the surface, but in fact it is particularly plentiful and has the most chance of dusting. Austria's Supreme Supreme knife is designed specifically for dusting or raising. It uses a special metallic paint, like the wall of the lottery, as the pores and rafts fill, slide, which greatly reduces the generation of paper dust, more suitable for die-cut recycled paper. The reduced friction between the knife and the paper edge also reduces the mechanical wear on the blade, making the die cutter more durable. This kind of knife is most suitable for die-cut boxes, cosmetics boxes, food boxes, cigarette packs and other long-length products that require no dust.
Another reason for the fluffing of color boxes is that the matching and installation of die cutters and sponge strips is out of specification. Sponge must have enough hardness to compress the paper and allow the die cutter to cut the paper smoothly. Different types of paper should use sponges of different hardness, and the placement and height of placement are also very sophisticated. The standard installation and material selection are as follows:
1. Rebound sponge rubber hardness selection principle Select rebound rubber glue should follow the following principles:
1) If the distance between the die cutters is less than 8mm, the sponge with a hardness of HS600 should be selected.
2) If the distance between the die cutters is greater than 8mm, sponges with a hardness of HS250 (corrugated cardboard) or 350 (paper jam) should be selected.
3) If the distance between the die cutter and the steel wire is less than 10mm, the arched sponge with a hardness of HS700 should be used; if it is larger than 10mm, the sponge with a hardness of HS350 should be used.
4) The die cutter's punching position uses an arch-type glue with a hardness of HS700 to protect the joint from being pulled.
Commonly used sponge glue has the following kinds:
1) 350 air-permeable sponge rubber compression rate of 35%, die-cutting life of 1 million times, die-cutting speed of 9000 beats / hour, suitable for cardboard cutting.
2) 200 sealing arch sponge compression rate of 50%, die-cutting life of up to 250,000 times, die-cutting speed of 7500 beats / hour, suitable for die-cutting corrugated cardboard.
3) The 600 solid rubber strip is suitable for narrow parts, such as the distance between die cutters is less than 8mm.
4) The 700-arc rubber strip is used for the position of the die cutter knife and the distance between the knife and the steel wire is less than 10mm.
2. Installation method of rebound sponge glue The sponge rubber strip should leave the distance of at least 1mm on both sides of the die-cutting blade body, and cannot be installed close to the blade body. Otherwise, the sponge rubber strip can only expand to the opposite direction of the blade body after being pressed, which will cause the Both sides of the pull paper failure, in the die-cutting knife also has to cut the paper in the future, the paper has been broken sponge rubber, so it will produce fluff and paper dust. In addition, swelling adhesive should be 1.2mm higher than the blade, and depending on the hardness of the appropriate adjustments. If sponge hardness is greater than HS350, sponge rubber should be less than 1.2mm above the blade edge; if sponge hardness is less than HS350, sponge rubber should be 1.2mm above the blade edge. In principle, the softer the sponge glue, the higher the height. The correct height of the sponge glue allows for faster die-cut production.
In the entire die-cut version, the amount, hardness, and height of the sponge should be distributed evenly at each position. Sponge should also be placed on both sides of the balance knife.
In short, the height and hardness of all materials on die-cuts, die cutters, die-cut steel wires, and sponges, should be balanced. This not only has a good die cutting effect, but also can increase the speed of automatic die cutting machine.
Of course, the fluffing and dusting of the color box die-cutting are also related to the precision of the die-cutting machine, the flatness of the bottom steel plate, and the pressure adjustment. If you increase the pressure indiscriminately, no matter how good the knife is, no matter how good the sponge rubber is not used. When the automatic die-cutting machine begins to adjust the pressure, it should first be adjusted to about 80% to cut through; and then according to different positions, make up with the make-up material; and then lock this pressure to formally die-cut. This not only has a good die cutting effect, but also has a fast production speed.
