First, chemical dehydration technology

In order to increase the economic efficiency of paper mills and reduce steam consumption, the dryness of the sheets entering the dryer after pressing should be increased as much as possible during the operation of the paper machine. Because, during the drying process, 90%-95% of the heat is consumed in evaporating the moisture in the paper. For every 1% decrease in the wet paper moisture, 5% of the steam can be saved. Here are two NEW techniques for chemical dewatering to improve the dryness of paper sheets. 

1. Super-agglomeration or full-particle agglomerating method: This method adds two kinds of combination components, namely the particles of cationic high-agglomerates and inorganic pigments, the amount of which must not affect the strength of the paper.

2. Penniman method: In order to improve the press dehydration ability and improve the dryness of paper, in recent years, the method of using a wide nip press and increasing the line pressure has been used. However, this method can only stabilize the dryness of the paper at 41%. With increasing pressure, there is only a small increase in dryness. The Penniman's law incorporates water-insoluble synthetic hydrocarbons at the time of pressing. The surface tension of hydrocarbons is 15-25 mN/m, and the surface tension of water is 60-70 mN/m. Hydrocarbons not only preferentially wet the sheet but also wet. With good results, the dryness of the pressed sheet can be increased to 46%-48%. When drying, the heat of vaporization required by the hydrocarbon itself is only 10% of the heat required for vaporization of water, so that more than 30% of the heat required for drying the sheet can be reduced, which is equivalent to saving energy by 30%. 

Second, the application of steam box

It is well known that the higher the temperature of the pulp, the faster the speed of filtration. In order to reduce the steam consumption in order to increase the output, a steam box can be installed in the paper machine net or press section, and the paper web can be directly heated and steamed to increase the temperature and the filtration speed. Practice has proved that when the steam pressure is 0.3MPa and the temperature is 120, the consumption of steam per ton of paper is 0.16t, the paper machine speed can be increased by 20%, and the steam consumption is reduced by 12% during drying. At the same time, the sheet evenness is improved and the paper sheet uniformity is improved. product quality.
