Fujifilm will introduce five new printing plates in IPEX 2002

- Consumables giant said that Fujifilm, which is facing CTP plate technology at booth 510 in Hall 5, has made tremendous improvements to the IPEX 2002 exhibition and printing series and will add a lot of content. The company will present to visitors a series of new developed and exempt-free thermal, violet and green laser photopolymers, as well as various technological solutions instead of a single technology route.

Fujitsu's IPEX booth will have a dedicated exhibition area reserved for printing plates and plate technology, which fully confirms that they have sufficient capabilities to provide customers with a printing plate that can be used on various advanced platemaking machines.

All new printing plates will incorporate Fujifilm's patented multi-particle technology to ensure long-term durability and high-quality results on presses.

Brillia LP-NV Violet Laser Photoprinter for Commercial Printing The company's first violet laser plate, the Brillia LP-NV, is designed for use with a plate-making machine using a 30-mW LD laser and is primarily sensitive to a 405-nm violet laser.

The Brillia LP-NV plate has been rigorously tested by Fujitsu and has stable printing performance. It can print up to 200,000 sheets (up to 1,000,000 sheets after drying) and can be used for high-quality commercial printing.

Violet laser technology allows the operator to process and load Brillia LP-NV plates under the G10 bright yellow safety light, eliminating the inconvenience of the darkroom environment and enabling the user to operate in a similar environment as the current analog platemaking process.

LP-NV and LP-N3 have similar printing characteristics and can also be applied with a new type of development technology, which improves the resistance of the printing shop to chemicals, prolongs the life of the developer, and reduces pollution.

The performance characteristics of the Brillia LP-NV plate have been further optimized and can be used in conjunction with the new violet laser platesetter developed by Fujifilm, which will also be introduced in IPEX 2002.

Brillia LP-N3 Photopolymer for Commercial Printing The Brillia LP-N3 plate from Fujifilm is a negative-working photosensitive resin plate that can be used on the company's Luxel P-9600CTP platesetter for optimum performance.

In order to reduce the impact of packet exposure, Fujifilm has made some improvements to the exposure range and image quality of its internal drum platemakers. In addition, there is a new photosensitive layer on the LP-N3, and a new development technology has been adopted to increase the resistance to chemicals in the printing room, prolong the service life of the developer, and reduce the development contamination.

The new printing plate replaced Fuji's existing LP-NS printing plate, with clear and precise dot arrangement, smaller dot expansion, and clearer copying of fine dots, lines, and fine fonts.

Brillia LP-N3 can print up to 200,000 sheets (1,000,000 sheets after drying) and is designed for use with 488-532nm laser platesetters.

Brillia LD-NS Thermal Free Development Plate for Commercial Printing The Brillia LD-NS Free Development Plate developed by Fujifilm is mainly used for short-run printing, short print cycles and high-quality commercial printing markets.

The plate has a high sensitivity of 200mJ/cm2, and the total print volume can reach 30,000 sheets, which can be imaged by the thermal system of the 830nm IR laser.

Brillia LD-NS plates support 1% to 98% dot duplication of 200 lpi screen lines. Brightroom operation, with good manual processing characteristics, makes this printing plate a versatile product in this evolving market area.

Brillia LH-PSE Thermal Plate for Commercial Printing Brillia LH-PSE is a heat-resistant, heat-dryable, heat-printable version with up to 200,000 sheets (up to 1,000,000 sheets after drying). The optimum application is at the 830nm IR platemaking machine.

The plate has a wide selection of development options and is compatible with the company's VPS-E and VPL-E conventional plates.

Manufactured by the Tilburg platemaking company of Fujifilm, the Brillia LH-PSE plate improves scratch resistance in both graphic and non-graphic areas and supports 1% to 99% dot duplication of 200 lpi screen lines.

Brillia LP-NN2 Photoprinter for Newspaper Printing In addition, the company also launched a new CTP plate Brillia LP-NN2, which is specially produced for the newspaper printing market.

The new printing plate reduces dot gain in the imaging area and improves the print durability of the sharp dots in the printing process. It can be imaged with a 488-532 nm blue-green laser and has a total throughput of 300,000 sheets.

During the process, the Brillia LP-NN2, with its good image contrast, allows printing operators to save time and money by visually checking the smut condition on the plate before installing the plate on the press. This feature also makes it easy to use the plate reader to read the data on the plate, automatically set the ink channel, and further increase productivity.
