1. Single Hopper Filling Machine
A single hopper filling machine uses one scale to measure the product’s weight before filling it into a packaging container. It is typically slower in operation, and its accuracy may decrease when the material size varies significantly or when the material sticks to the hopper. The process involves feeding the material into the hopper through both coarse and fine feed hoppers. Once the material reaches 80-90% of the desired weight, the coarse hopper stops, and the fine hopper continues until the target weight is achieved. At this point, the hopper opens, allowing the material to fall by gravity into the packaging container.
2. Multi-Hopper Weighing Filling Machine
This machine consists of two to four weighing systems, each responsible for measuring and filling the product. Its working principle is similar to that of the single hopper model but with multiple scales, which increases the speed and efficiency of the process. It is ideal for high-volume production lines where speed is crucial.
3. Combined Weighing Filling Machine
The combined weighing filling machine uses multiple scales to weigh individual portions of material. A microprocessor then combines the weights of different hoppers to find the closest match to the desired target weight. This method ensures high accuracy and faster operation. These machines usually have between 9 to 14 hoppers arranged radially. Each hopper is equipped with a load sensor, and the computer selects the best combination of hoppers based on the required weight. The selected hopper then discharges the material into the packaging container below.
4. Continuous Weighing Filling Machine
This type of machine uses continuous weighing technology and automatic adjustment to maintain a stable flow rate of materials on a conveyor belt. It then aliquots the material to achieve consistent quantities. Although it has lower accuracy compared to OTHER types, it operates at a much higher speed. It is suitable for uniform particle sizes and small granular materials, typically with a weight range under 500 grams.
The most efficient way to convey continuous materials is through a conveyor belt system. The most common type of such a machine is the gravity-type electronic conveyor belt scale. In this system, material falls onto the conveyor belt from a hopper and is continuously weighed as it moves. The weight regulator controls the gate to adjust the flow of material, ensuring accurate filling into the packaging container.
5. Screw Propeller Filling Machine
This machine uses a screw propeller to push the material forward. The material is weighed by an electronic scale before being transferred to the next station. As the material moves along the screw, the impulse is converted into an electrical signal by the scale. The controller adjusts the speed of the propeller to ensure accurate and consistent filling.
