1. Dipping Bonding Method The dipping method is one of the earliest and most commonly used techniques in chemical bonding processes, also referred to as full immersion or saturation dipping. It evolved from traditional dyeing methods and is widely applied in the production of nonwoven materials. Basic Process Flow: In this method, a fiber web is passed through a tank containing adhesive. After immersion, excess adhesive is removed using a pair of rollers or vacuum suction devices. The material is then dried and cured, resulting in a bonded nonwoven fabric. Depending on the way liquid is absorbed and distributed, the process can be categorized into three types: padding type, suction type, and combined suction-rolling type. Additionally, it can be classified based on the screen structure into single-screen curtain and double-screen curtain systems. Features: This method produces a firm and dense structure, making it ideal for applications such as interlining. (2) Single-Net Curtain Impregnation Single-net curtain impregnation helps reduce adhesive loss during the process. This technique is especially effective for producing thin adhesive nonwoven fabrics. Rotary Screen Roller Impregnation Machine This machine uses a roller system to apply adhesive evenly. It is suitable for high-quality, lightweight nonwovens, often used in interlining and disposable hygiene products. Vacuum Suction Impregnation Machine This system uses vacuum pressure to remove excess adhesive, ensuring better control over the bonding process. It is ideal for producing consistent and uniform nonwoven materials. (3) Double-Net Transfer Impregnation In this method, the fiber web moves horizontally while being clamped between upper and lower plates. This prevents deformation, making it particularly suitable for processing wide-width fiber webs. It ensures even distribution of adhesive and maintains the structural integrity of the material. Overall, the dipping method remains a versatile and efficient approach in the production of bonded nonwoven fabrics, offering flexibility in application and adaptability to different manufacturing needs.
