In fact, X-Rite has divided eye-one display color correction products into three categories: i1 display LT, i1 display 2, and i1 Pro for different target users. Introduction to eye-one display LT

First install the Eye-One Match 3 software in the CD that comes with the i1 display LT, then connect the i1 display LT to the PC via the USB interface, and then double-click the software icon. After a while, we can see the interface shown below.

The i1 display LT connected to the PC will automatically detect which color correction devices are connected to the PC, and then only the monitor is connected to the PC as shown in the above figure. At this time, we can click "Check for Updates" to upgrade. Netizens can also view the help prompt on the right, and then we click the "right arrow" in the lower right corner of the above figure to enter the next step.

At this time, as shown in the figure above, the content of the left column becomes the entire test process, and i1 display LT will automatically detect which display device you are currently using. If it is an LCD display, LCD is selected by default, and CRT is selected by default. ... and then continue to click the right arrow to go to the next step.

According to different display devices and operating systems, choose the corresponding color temperature and gamma value, the color temperature is divided into 5000K, 6500K, 9300K three, 5000K warmer screen will be yellow, 9300K colder screen will be blue, 6500K in the middle The color temperature is more comfortable. Most LCDs use 6500K as the default color temperature. Windows users generally choose a gamma value of 2.2, while Mac users choose a gamma value of 1.8. There is also an ambient light source detection underneath. The light collection mask just introduced is required. It is also operated according to the steps prompted by the screen. It is more convenient to not introduce it here.

After placing the color calibration instrument, click the right arrow to enter the link shown in the figure below, then the wizard will prompt "Please adjust the LCD contrast to 100", and then click the "Start" button. Speaking of where some friends will ask, what about brightness? Need adjustment? For LCD, no adjustment is required, while for CRT, it will prompt "Please adjust the brightness to 0" after the contrast adjustment. Therefore, the brightness when using the LCD color correction is determined, and the ICC file generated after the entire process is completed can only be used normally at the brightness of the LCD model.

During the process of calibrating the contrast, please reduce the contrast of the LCD according to the results of the i1 test until the black bar enters the middle of the green area, as shown in the figure below. [next]

After calibrating the contrast, the next step is to adjust the color temperature. As shown in the figure below, two adjustment methods are provided: RGB setting & color temperature setting. The RGB setting is a higher-level calibration method. By adjusting the settings of each of the three primary colors Set value, of course, you must make sure that the LCD you use supports the independent adjustment of the three primary colors before choosing this item, otherwise please choose the color temperature setting method.

After about 30 seconds of testing, the screen will pop up as shown in the figure below, and then adjust the color temperature values ​​of the three primary colors of red, green and blue one by one through the OSD menu until the three are in the center of the green area.

After adjusting the color temperature, click the right arrow, i1 will directly enter the measurement link shown in the figure below, the entire test process takes about 2 minutes to wait patiently.

After the test is completed, an ICC file after color calibration will be automatically generated. We can click "Before and After" to observe the difference between before and after use.

As shown in the figure above, we can click the calibration to close to see the color of the screen before calibration, and then click the calibration to open to see the color of the screen after calibration. Finally, click "Complete Calibration" to finish the color calibration of the LCD, is it very convenient. After color calibration, the system will use the calibrated ICC file by default. If you do n’t want to use the ICC file, please right-click “Properties” —> “Settings” —> “Advanced” —> “Color Management” —> "Delete", it will return to the system default ICC configuration after restart.
