UV/EB inks are used in a variety of printing applications

Sheet-fed and web offset printing are currently the most widely used printing methods. The high viscosity inks used for this printing are also suitable for energy-cured printing. The UV offset printing process can be either dry or wet. For dry-type overprinting, one curing unit is arranged after each printing unit, and wet overprinting only requires one curing unit after the last printing unit. EB inks are used for wet overprinting because the high energy during curing does not require curing between processes. EB curing is particularly suitable for fresh-keeping packaging of fruit juices and alcohols because it can be completely cured and does not produce back-scratching when reel printing media is re-wound.

UV embossing is ideal for printing on hard plastics such as cups, tubes, and pails.

UV screen printing is best suited for applications that require thick ink layer printing, such as poster printing.

Flexographic printing has currently achieved the most rapid development in UV printing, especially in narrow web label printing. Wide web label printing manufacturers have also recently entered the UV flexo printing market. As the quality of flexographic printing continues to improve and the application area expands, the need for special physical fitness continues to grow. In the UV flexo printing process, the most attractive to people is the increasing chemical resistance of prints. In addition, the advantages of low energy consumption, short standby time, and low organic volatiles will continue to drive the development of the market.
